Dr.
Michael S. Pagliaro received is Bachelor of Arts degree from Canisius
College in 1989. He graduated summa cum laude. He attended Cornell
University and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.
He performed an externship at the Animal Medical center in Manhattan
in 1993.
After graduation he left his home in Staten Island, NY and moved to
Hawthorne NJ where he began his private practice career at the Ridgewood
Veterinary Hospital. In addition to having Willie Randolph as a client,
which was a thrill being a huge Yankee fan, this practice allowed
Dr. Pagliaro to pursue his interests in Avian and Exotic Medicine.
After 2 years he began practicing at the Brookside Veterinary Hospital
in Bloomfield NJ. This experience allowed him to expand his surgical
skills as Dr. Samson was a gifted surgeon who enjoyed teaching. His
next position was at the North Jersey Animal Hospital in Wayne NJ.
He was introduced to ultrasound and endoscopy as advanced level diagnostics
in this high-level care facility.
Wanting to settle in an area of NJ where he could raise a family with
his new bride Megan, they chose Howell, NJ with it's open fields and
horse farms to purchase a home. He was employed at the Manalapan Animal
Hospital for 5 years and was promised an opportunity to become an
owner.
When the opportunity to purchase the Point Pleasant Veterinary Hospital
presented itself, he jumped at the chance. This was an area he had
fond memories of as a child as his family would travel out to the
beach in the summer to cool off. He also remembers trying to sneak
into Jenkinson's nightclub with his friends shortly after getting
their drivers licenses. They were rarely successful!
Dr. Pagliaro has always dreamed of owning his own practice and his
gratitude for Dr. Marz at giving him this opportunity is enormous.
His vision is to continue in the footsteps of the previous owners
but also to mold the practice into his ideal hospital. This is a hospital
where owners are treated honestly and with respect so that long-term
relationships are forged. This is a hospital where pets are given
thorough exams and offered the best veterinary care available at affordable
prices. He is excited about becoming apart of the Point Pleasant Community
for many years to come.
When he is not practicing veterinary medicine Dr Pagliaro enjoys spending
time with his family. His wife Megan and two daughters Kristen (17
months) and Anna (3 months) are a big part of his life. He is a sports
addict, particularly football, baseball and hockey. His hobbies include
fitness training and scuba diving. |
